Located on the banks of famous Fateh Sagar Lake, this astoundingly beautiful garden was constructed by Maharana Sangram Singh as a private recreation center for his newly weed wife and her 48 maidens. It is said that Maharana Sangram’s wife and all the 48 maidens indeed spent most of their day-to-day lives at this very garden and hence it got the name Saheliyon ki Bari; the literal English translation of the same means Garden of maids (servants). This historical maid garden is replete with many beautiful architectural structures which are mainly exemplified through innumerable fountains & ponds. The best pond & main attraction, though, is the lotus pond, which is widely considered as most beautiful part of this garden. Click Here to know more
